This small white linen covered hardcover is a reprint of a complimentary book handed out to expectant mothers in the 1940's. The dust jacket is dark green and tan, with black lettering. Inside the book is advice on the best exercise (walking, not swimming or dancing), how to purchase restraining corsets, how to lace them, the use of aromatic vapors to conteract fainting attacks, and how a nurse is invaluable because she will know a dozen or so tricks to get baby to suckle at the breast. This book was written by doctors from Johns Hopkins Unviersity, and Southern California School of Medicine.
